The Youth Ambassadors Program (YAP) is a four-year experiential-learning journey for Emirati undergraduates in China, offering fully sponsored modules during winter, summer and key Chinese public holidays. Across academic sessions, industry visits, cultural activities and project-based learning, students gain direct exposure to China’s innovation and society while strengthening cross-cultural understanding and professional ties. Over the program’s duration, they develop a unique perspective and skills to contribute meaningfully to future UAE–China cooperation.
Discovery Week
The Discovery Week marks the first chapter of this journey: a comprehensive experience in Shanghai and Hangzhou. The week combines academic sessions, visits to companies and innovation centres, and cultural exploration.
Following the Discovery Week, selected students will form the 2026 – 2030 YAP China cohort and progress through to the four-year program.

Graduation Requirements
To graduate as a Youth Ambassador, participants must complete both components of the four-year program:
- Learning components:
- Complete 4 out of 6 Core Modules
- Complete 2 Elective Modules of choice
- Maintain full attendance and active participation
- Practical experience:
- Undertake a project-based learning experience in China
- Submit a final project report demonstrating applied learning
